Using Scenes in Flash
For intermediate Flash users only: I created a PDF for my students and put it online here; it explains how to use Scenes when authoring in Flash. It also explains a bit about using the bandwidth profiler.
We are on Spring Break now, so the students’ fourth Flash exercise is not due until two weeks from today. However, they must shoot their own photos for this exercise, so I had to give them some advance warning about it.
The assignment for their exercise (a photo slideshow) is here. The example slideshow I built is here.
The purpose of this exercise is to encourage them to experiment with some cinematic effects using still photos to tell a story.
Their final Flash project will include sound, but controlling sound in Flash requires ActionScript, and we’re building up to that.
