Could suggest recommended reading for would be journalists in UK starting at GCSE A level base, also best course distance learning (degree, media studies , journalism ) also best hands on modern short hand learning book.

I skimmed the video section.

It needs proofing: a lav and a wireless are not the same thing, nor are a wide shot and an establishing shot.

It also needs updating: “powerful lighting is essential”, “always use a tripod”, “never zoom” are not useful or accepted guidelines in 2007.

I need to amend what I wrote earlier, having worked my way further in. This is a good overview but much of it is too basic for my students. What it will be really handy for is using as a base for building more in-depth lessons on.
