Multimedia packages: Planning and producing
I just finished doing a day of training at the Virginia Press Association, in Richmond. Nice bunch of people in attendance, all from newspapers. Very few reporters, lots of online staffers, many photojournalists. Nice range of ages. Numerous people from The Richmond Times-Dispatch and The Roanoke Times.
Morning: Getting started in multimedia journalism (audio, Soundslides, basic video)
Afternoon: Planning and producing larger multimedia packages (with many examples)

I was one of those photojournalists/writers in attendance at this day of training and Mindy was awesome! Best training I’ve had this year and that’s saying a lot. I came back inspired and am preparing to sit down and edit the three multimedia pieces I shot, taped and interviewed today. Thanks Mindy! GREAT stuff!
