Reporting the Minneapolis bridge story

The Science Museum of Minnesota has some interesting graphics online related to the bridge collapse in Minneapolis.

Flickr has more than 1,100 photos tagged “35w.” The stills at the Star Tribune beat everything I saw on Flickr except a set from a Flickr user called Dani Bora, which includes some unique shots.

A Wikipedia page about the event is still being updated frequently.

Update (Aug. 3, 11 a.m.): Danny Sanchez has compiled an excellent resource for journalists: An annotated list of links to all major newspaper graphics about the Minneapolis bridge collapse. The differences in approach are fascinating! You can see some great uses of maps and explanatory graphics in these examples.
