Summary of multimedia journalism educators seminar

If you are a journalism educator who has ever said, “I do not know how to teach this new multimedia stuff,” this is for you.

Rachele Kanigel, an assistant professor of journalism at San Francisco State University, attended the Poynter seminar for journalism educators last week, and she posted daily summaries to her blog, The Student Newspaper Survival Blog. Here they are, for easy reading:

If you (or anyone else at your j-school) needs to get up to speed on the New World Order in journalism, check out the July 2008 encore of this same seminar — register by June 16 to get a seat. No, they did not pay me to pimp their seminar (and I can’t attend the one in July, unfortunately). I just think it’s a good deal.
