A new semester under way

I apologize to my loyal readers, who are probably wondering whether I am giving up on this blog. Well, that’s not my intention, but I have a brave new course this semester — a one-credit introduction to multimedia reporting — and I’m overhauling my Flash journalism/Web design course, which I have not taught since 2007.

Since my online syllabuses are almost like a course in a box (without my lectures, however), this syllabus updating takes a lot of time!

So, never fear. Once I get back in the groove, the blogging will surely be resumed.

In the meantime, if you want to stay up-to-date with me, you’re welcome to subscribe to my FriendFeed.

I miss your class so much! It was definitely one of the, if not THE most engaging class I took during my four years at UF.

Good luck updating that syllabus, though from a previous student, not much updating is needed beyond the dates! Content-wise everything in the course is still pretty much spot-on.

Miss you and have a good semester! Let your students know they can use me as a resource if they have any questions.

Thanks for the testimonial, Mark! Lots of new resource links this year — and of course, I need to update all the examples from the professionals. A lot of great new work has appeared in the past year.
